About Me

I didn't always see myself becoming a hairstylist and nail technician let alone owning my own business. After having completed my marketing degree at UNC, I decided that wasn't exactly the path I wanted to pursue so I instead enrolled in Cosmetology School.

My first job was at an incredible salon that had an excellent apprenticeship program and a strong focus on continuing education. I worked at this salon for five years where I cultivated my love for the Beauty Industry and all of my amazing clients.

My life took yet another turn when I became a mom. I decided to start my own business to create a better work/life balance and opened my salon, Polished By Design, in December of 2017.

My days are now spent either with my family or behind the chair with my clients. At this point in my career I find myself best able to provide my clients with my undivided attention and a top notch service they so very much deserve.

As my client you will receive a customized hair service that best addresses your individual wants and needs. Not only will you leave with a beautiful finished look, but I will give you the tools to re-create the same results at home.

I specialize in weightless spa pedicures, shellac manicures, and natural nail art. My manicures and pedicures range from basic maintenance to the ultimate in spa luxury. I aim to provide each client with a unique relaxation experience with every visit.

Why I Do It

While I love creating beautiful hair and nail looks for my clients, the most amazing aspect of what I get to do everyday is have a positive impact on the lives of others.

Everyone is beautiful in their own way and it is my job to simply accentuate and enhance ones natural beauty. I feel like everybody has their own way of expressing themselves and I am honored to be a part of that for my clients.

As someone who has struggled with self-confidence and self-worth, I have always been passionate in building that up in others.
